Abstract

Summary: The paper is a review of a current literature concerning the role of physicał activity in prevenlion of the osteoporosis. Physicał activity may reduce the risk of osteoporosis and fraciures in elderły by augmenting bone mineral and reducing the loss of bone. Irrespective of changes in bone minerał, physical activities, that improve muscułar strength, endurance and balance, may reduce fracture risk by reducing the risk of falling.
