Abstract

Introduction. However physiotherapy profession has been practiced in Poland by increasing number of professional groups, the legal regulations that concern practicing of this particular profession leave considerable doubt. It should be stressed that in principle there is no legislation defining the legal status and profession of physiotherapist. In addition, existing laws are inadequate to the changes that have occurred over the past few years in the health care system in Poland. In particular the regulation in force regarding the professional physiotherapist should be noted.

The aim: The aim of this project is to present the existing legal regulations concerning the profession of physiotherapist.

Material and methods: We used an analysis of legislation and literature sources. We also used online resources related to the subject article.

Results and conclusions: It is necessary to complete the legislative work on the draft law on some of the medical profession and the principles for obtaining the title of specialist in other areas of application in health care.
