Abstract

The aim of this study was an evaluation of growing processes in children operated because of meningomyelocele. A subject of the analysis was distribution of frequency of anthropometric measurements in examined children in the mean and pathological values, higher or lower than the mean value. An intervals were created after examination of control group on the basis of calculated mean values and standard deviations. The results of the examinations allowed to determine that development of the children operated because of meningomyelocele is characterized by sexual dimorphism and other differences in comparison to the group of healthy children. A special attention should be paid on excessive fat deposition and short stature in this group of children.
