Abstract

Special groups include the elderly, women and children. Each of these groups has particular pharmaceutical needs due to their changing physiology, the spectrum of diseases they face and the fact that they have been neglected during the pharmaceutical development process. While similar issues exist for these groups, other particular needs can also be identified.
