Abstract

Background. The aim of the study was to evaluate results of improvement in patients after total knee replacement (TKR) 5 weeks after operation based on functional status and knee pain. Material and methods. We studio 17 patients who had performed knee replacement. The study took place two times. First before operation, the second 5 weeks after. Functional status was evaluated using the Knee Society Score (KSS), the intensity of pain was assessed using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and distance length was evaluated using six minutes walking test (SMWT). Results and Conclusion. The results show that there is statistically significant improvement of patients functional status and pain reduction.
