Abstract

Among the numerous exogenous factors the urbanization is still significantly modifying somatic development, although one may observe this kind of differences to lessen recently in Poland. The development profile has been realized on the basis of the two features: body mass and height. Children aged 7–11 years lived in villages, towns and cities. More their environment was urbanized heavier and higher children were (except for girls from Podbeskidzie), the gradient was more visible for children from Podkarpacie.
