Abstract

The aim of this study was an evaluation of dynamics and kinetics in course of somatic development in children operated because of meningomyelocele. In order to investigate above mentioned quantitative aspects of development, the mathematical method based on analysis of time series was applied. The results of the examination allowed to determine that development of children operated because of the meningomyelocele was influenced by sexual dimorphism and was characterized by significant differences in its dynamics and kinetics when compared with the healthy children. The examinations also confirmed an existence of excessive fat deposition and short stature in this group of children.
